Corrine Brown Sentenced To 5 Years

A judge sentenced former congresswoman and convicted felon Corrine Brown to five years in federal prison during a short hearing at the U.S. federal courthouse in downtown Jacksonville.

Judge Tim Corrigan issued the sentence for Brown to serve 60 months, in federal prison after she was found guilty on 18 counts of corruption.

Brown, is also required to pay $62,650.99 in restitution to the IRS. She must also pay a portion of $452,515.87 in restitution to others.

The judge sentenced Carla Wiley, who ran the phony nonprofit organization called One Door for Education, to serve 21 months in federal prison for her role in the fraud scheme. She will serve three years of supervised release. She owes $425,515.87 in restitution, which will be paid about $250 a month after she gets out of prison.

Judge Corrigan sentenced Ronnie Simmons, Brown’s former chief of staff. He has been sentenced to four years, in federal prison. He will owe $91,621.38 in restitution to the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as more restitution split between the three defendants.

All three defendants will be able to voluntarily surrender to prison sometime after Jan. 8, 2018, Corrigan said. All three defendants will be required to turn over passports.

Corrigan described the sentencing for the defendants as a “sad chapter and there’s no other way to say it.”

Men Prefer Women That Ask Them Out on a Date

Recent college polls are showing that men prefer women that ask them out on a date.

When ask why they feel this way, the most common response is: so they don’t get blamed for sexual misconduct.

The polls also suggest that men want women who do some type of outdoor activity. Such as walking, playing catch, flying a kite, working a garden over a homebody who never experiences the outdoors.

Polling results shows that most men don’t use dating sites to meet women. Although they will look at a dating site, they claim they won’t pick up a date from one. Meaning men seem to prefer meeting a girl at a social event.

Men also responded that they prefer women who are financially stable. One respondent said:  If she can’t pay for a date, it shows she has no clue what money is about and I don’t need her in my life.

Respondents also claimed they really don’t enjoy women who think they are “trophy girls.” Meaning more men prefer women that use their natural beauty than women who enhance their looks.

Although personal appearance ranked well in the polls, more men preferred women who are mentally stable with reasonable understanding of others above their own appearance.

Men also favor women who lean conservative than liberal. Which only reenforce the question about men preferred mentally stable with reasonable understanding.

The days of shivery doesn’t seem to be gone. It shows that men are tired of women who date as an extra curricular activity.

Sexual Harassment Stories, Are You Tired Of Them Yet?

The media is running sexual harassment stories as much as a crack addict uses drugs. To the point that we say “This is crazy, it can’t be that bad” and it’s not.

First lets look at the definition of Sexual Harassment:

Sexual harassment is bullying or coercion of a sexual nature, or the unwelcome or inappropriate promise of rewards in exchange for sexual favors. In most modern legal contexts, sexual harassment is illegal. (Wikipedia)

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that tends to create a hostile or offensive work environment. (Legal definition)

The one thing that both of these definitions shared is that sexual harassment is determined by the accuser. When and if it gets to court is when the accused has a say.

Not too fair. Why do we say “not to fair?” Because in America, you are innocent until proven guilty. Unless the media wants to make money on you and then, your guilty by public opinion.

So why is the media going crazy over these stories? The answer is really simple. They have nothing else to report. The media is a business that makes its money over your reactions of a situation. If you have no reaction, they make no money. Want the stories to end, ignore them.

So what do all of these stories do to society as a whole?

It really screws with societies head. Let’s look at the harsh truth. Hollywood and the entertainment community including the political realm is full of sex stories. Who doesn’t know this? Now you add people with normal lives that want some type of excitement and you have a story.

Another harsh truth. Most sexual harassment lawsuits never make it to court. Mainly for two reasons. The accused has no money to sue for or the accusations are fabricated. You see sexual harassment is a civil issue and the state only gets involved if a state law is broken.

People need to realize that not everybody acts the same way everywhere in the world. And for you to expect proper english and manners from everybody, you yourself could be insulting others and not even realizing it.

Like: Hispanic folks are a very touchy, kissy group of people. If you’re a friend or family member, you are going to get kisses and hugs. By everybody. Don’t freak. It’s a complement.

People in the inner city cuss and tease a lot. It’s not meant to be mean, it’s just their vocabulary skills and how they show good intention to others. If somebody drops the “F” bomb every 3rd word, or teases you, calm down. Realize where you are. If they cuss in front of you in a normal conversation, they like you. It’s not sexual harassment.

Finally: If you wear clothing that is “eye candy” to others. Why are you shock that they responded in an aroused way? You wore the clothes to create a reaction. You got a reaction. Deal with it and if it’s a reaction you didn’t want, don’t wear the “eye candy.”
